What Is Siding Removal & Disposal
Siding removal and disposal means stripping away old, worn, or outdated siding from your Punta Gorda, FL home so a new installation can begin, then hauling off and properly disposing of everything that comes down. This step comes ahead of nearly every full siding replacement, and getting it right matters just as much as the new installation itself.
Taking siding down isn't just about pulling panels off the wall. It calls for working carefully around windows, doors, corners, and trim so nothing underneath gets damaged along the way, then checking what's revealed before any new material goes up. Whatever we find behind the old siding, whether it's solid sheathing or spots affected by moisture, shapes how the rest of the project moves forward.
Once the old siding is off, it still needs somewhere to go. We handle the loading and hauling so you're not stuck with piles of leftover material or the task of figuring out disposal on your own.
Why You Need It, and the Risk of Skipping It
Putting new siding over old material that hasn't been properly removed and checked can cover up problems instead of fixing them. Whatever is going wrong behind the existing siding doesn't disappear just because new panels are layered on top.
Building over damaged siding can seal existing moisture issues in behind the new material.
Skipping a proper teardown means the sheathing underneath is never checked before new siding goes on.
A rushed removal that leaves debris behind creates an unsafe, cluttered job site and can slow the installation down.
Improper disposal leaves homeowners stuck sorting out removed material on their own.
